Williams/Irem 1982
Moon Patrol was developed by Irem in Japan, then released by Williams Electronics in the United States. It's a side-scrolling shooter with aliens, moon plants, craters, and boulders. The buttons are duplicated on the left and right sides of the control panel, allowing lefties and righties the same playing experience.
The game has super-cool retro stenciled side art, which was typical for Williams games of this era, including Joust and Robotron 2084.
When I got the game, someone had hacked in a PC power supply after the connectors burned up on the original (see pic). I rebuilt the original power supply boards and returned the game to it's natural configuration.
